Are you an experienced and dynamic social worker who is passionate about excellent social work practice?

Would you like to get some experience of management whilst also remaining embedded in practice?

We are looking for an experienced social worker to be a consultant social worker – leading units of 4 or 5 social work trainees doing the Frontline social work training programme (due to start Sept 2023). In this role you will supervise and develop learning, model good practice, and assess practice with children and families.

This is a new and innovative role, suitable for experienced social workers who have a passion for teaching and mentoring others.

The opportunity is open to practitioners who have 3 years’ experience as a childcare social worker.

You will be based in the Newark Family Support and Safeguarding Team.

This position offers the opportunity to:

  • Have a supervisory-level role without leaving practice.
  • Access to a high-quality systemic training programme.
  • Achieve level 1 and level 2 practice education (if you do not already have it)
  • Receive support and mentoring from one of Frontline's practice tutors.
  • Influence and shape practice, and practice education.

You will become advanced practitioners and members of the practice consultant team, with a specific Frontline, consultant social worker role.  You will receive peer supervision and support, line management within the district team and will join practice consultant team meetings.
