An exciting opportunity has arisen, in the Complaints and Information team, due to a recent promotion.

The Complaints and Information team handle complaints about services provided by Nottinghamshire County Council, we also provide access to information under the Freedom of Information Act, Data Protection Act and to partners such at the police. Due to the nature of the role some of the complaints received or information handled can be emotionally challenging.

This role is the initial point of contact for people making complaints or requests for information either by phone, or in writing, therefore good customer service skills are essential.  The role uses a dedicated complaints and information handling system, to log and track complaints and requests for information for which training will be provided for the successful candidate. The role also provides cover for County Hall Reception which involves meeting visitors in person.

Nottinghamshire County Council operates a hybrid working policy, and for the successful candidate we would be able to facilitate time working from home, and time in the office after the completion of initial training.

For a discussion about the role please contact Ben Jones, Complaints and Information - Support Team Leader on (0115) 804 0540.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.

Nottinghamshire County Council strives to ensure that it goes beyond the requirements of the Equalities Act and prides itself on being accredited as a Disability Confident Leader Organisation.

Therefore, the County Council encourages applications from all, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, religion, belief, pregnancy and maternity status, age or sexual orientation.
