This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative, ambitious individual to join our skilled team and contribute to the development of a high quality and diverse market place across Nottinghamshire.

Ideally you will have experience of working with individuals requiring social care support and you will have an understanding of Direct Payments and the challenges faced by social care providers. Training will be provided and personal development will be encouraged.

The role will include the collation and maintenance of data to record information about non-contracted providers offering services under a direct payment or pre-paid debit card. This will include information about the volume, nature and quality of services being provided as well as identifying where there are gaps in provision. You will be quality monitoring services provided by the Council’s commissioned Direct Payment Support Service providers. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of a Direct Payment Recipient Quality Assurance feedback system and the interpretation of the quantitative and qualitative data that is gathered.

You will support direct payment recipients and district social care teams in the initial set up and on-going use of direct payments and pre-paid debit cards. This will include supporting staff, direct payment recipients and prospective employees with issues relating to self-employment/employment status and may involve some educational and promotional awareness raising activity with district social care teams.
