An exciting opportunity has arisen in the South Assessment Service for a permanent Children’s Service Manager. The role involves the leadership and management of the service. The focus of the team is to provide short term support and complete timely and proportionate assessments of need to safeguard and support children and families in Nottinghamshire and achieve the best possible outcomes.

You will need to be an experienced operational manager who can demonstrate a commitment to the provision of high-quality services for children and young people to enable high quality assessments and interventions with families. You should be a leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced working environment and should have experience of working closely with colleagues and partners to embed strengths-based practice. You will need to be able to set clear service objectives, identify opportunities for the service area and lead their development and implementation. You will need to be able to motivate others and should be passionate about working with children and families and achieving high quality social work practice.

You must be a qualified social worker and be registered with Social Work England. A full driving licence is also required, a taxi service will be provided where disability precludes this.
