We want to recruit somebody with relevant experience, energy and enthusiasm for our work.

Recently rated as Good by OFSTED, Nottinghamshire has a dedicated countywide Looked After Children Service, these posts are for qualified social workers to join a stable and supportive Looked after Children's Team which is based at Ollerton.

The social workers will hold a caseload of children looked after and will undertake direct work with children and young people; attend and write reports for Looked After Children reviews and work closely with foster carers, placement providers and colleagues in the virtual school and health to provide an excellent quality of care for our children in care.

You should have an understanding of the legal framework, regulations and guidance relating to looked after children/care leavers.

You will need to be competent in communicating with children. 

Social Workers will have the opportunity to develop their skills and interests through high quality training and support.
