In order to apply for this post you must be willing to undertake training against an appropriate Apprenticeship Standard that will be delivered by an approved training provider.

Apprenticeships are open to all ages and abilities and are designed to encourage people who may not have the necessary experience or qualifications to access employment.

We have an exciting opportunity within the Support to Schools and Early Childhood Services Business Support Team for a level 2 Apprenticeship in Business Administration based at County Hall. 

The role will include:

  • General administration tasks
  • Data entry
  • Checking information using a number of different database systems
  • Taking telephone calls using Microsoft Lync (Skype for Business)
  • Provide support to colleagues

 

To be considered for this position, you will:

  • Have a good standard of education to include GCSE grades D or above in English and maths (or equivalent qualification) 
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have a good level of written communication
  • Have the ability to organise your own workload
  • Have good time keeping skills
  • Have an understanding of the need for confidentiality
  • Have an understanding of the need to uphold Nottinghamshire County Councils Equal Opportunities Policy
  • Be willing to work as part of a team
  • Typing skills and the ability to use initiative are both desirable

 

It is expected that the post holder will complete the Business Administrator level 2, and have ambitions to complete the Business Administrator level 3 at a later date.  The apprenticeship will take 12-18 months to complete.  Full training on internal computer systems will be provided as part of the apprenticeship scheme.
