Administrative Assistant
Sutton Bonington Primary School wish to appoint an Administrative Assistant who is personable, enthusiastic and self-motivated to join a hard-working, friendly and effective staff team.
The successful candidate will be required to provide an administrative role within the school and support the running of the school office alongside the School Business Manager. This is an exciting opportunity in that the school are also appointing a School Business manager at the same time.
Despite not being the largest school (165 pupils), the school environment is always very busy so the newly appointed Administrative Assistant would work effectively with the School Business Manager and be line managed by them.
The successful candidate will be supported by the Headteacher, teaching staff and Senior Leadership team for this role.

Be familiar working in a busy office environment, and all it involves.
Have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to develop excellent working relationships with all stakeholders in the school.
Be committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all children at the school.
Be committed to contributing to the wider life of the school.
Be confident at liaising with all stakeholders and treat them with respect and care.
Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
Be adept at managing time effectively and to prioritise to meet deadlines.
The role will involve: (more detail available in the job description)
Completion of general administrative duties as required
Communicating effectively with customers at all levels – i.e. telephone answering, face-to-face conversation, in writing/email and text messaging service.
Being delegated to reasonably by the School Business Manager so that his/her role can be fulfilled effectively
Managing day-to-day pupil attendance, cash handling and other clerical aspects
The advertised role is a part time position, with a preferred start date of Monday 2nd November. Actual working hours can be discussed in further detail at interview.
