Building Cleaning Services in conjunction with the Governing Body are seeking to employ a full time Site Manager to join our existing cleaning team, with immediate effect.

You will be required to clean and maintain the fabric of the school to a high standard and offer a dedicated range of Site Managerial services for the betterment of the children, parents and staff at the school.

Priestsic Primary School is situated in the heart of Sutton in Ashfield and is a large sized primary school. The school is a friendly and inviting place to be and we are therefore seeking to attract a Site Manager to maintain the school to a high standard of cleanliness throughout.

The role of Site Manager is very demanding, and you will be expected to deliver the full range of Site Management, maintenance, janitorial and cleaning duties as laid down by the site. You should have a keen eye for detail and be able to demonstrate a practicable knowledge of DIY and work-based Health and Safety for both him/herself and others in a workplace environment.

You should be prepared to work a split shift between the hours of 7am – 11am and 3pm – 6:30pm which should be flexible to meet the changing needs of the site and work on their own initiative.  

You will be required to work across the entire site undertaking work which will include: - vacuuming, toilet cleaning, dusting, window cleaning, sweeping, mopping and furniture cleaning. You will also have janitorial and porterage responsibilities for both the interior and exterior of the building as well as dealing with contractors and fault identification. It will also be a requirement that electrical cleaning machinery such as buffing machines etc must be used periodically and provide supervision for a team of cleaners.

You will be required to act as the main key holder for the site and attend alarm activations as required, for which additional payments will be made, as well as having responsibility for opening and securing the site daily.

Employment benefits include 24 days annual leave initially rising to 29 days after five year's service all annual leave must be taken during school closure periods plus Bank Holidays and access to the Local Government superannuation scheme.
