We are seeking to appoint a School Business Manager to take up post from 20th February 2023. The successful candidate will join an aspirational and caring school community with high expectations for all and a caring senior leadership team who work collaboratively for the good of staff and students.

The successful candidate will have proven experience and the ability to plan, develop and deliver services along with demonstrating sound financial planning and budgetary control. They will work alongside the Headteacher and will ensure compliance of the school’s finances including budget planning and monitoring, ensuring best value.

In this role you will need to be able to provide leadership along with professional support and advice. The School Business Manager is the school's leading support staff professional and is an integral part of the senior team assisting the Headteacher in ensuring that the school continues to fulfil its educational aims.

The SBM promotes the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the school and strategically ensures the most effective use of resources in support of the school's identified priorities. We are looking to appoint a School Business Manager whose background and experience would enable them to fill this busy and diverse role.

The successful candidate will have integrity and will be highly capable, proactive, organised and enthusiastic. They must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to show their own initiative. We are looking for someone with:
•  Certificate in School Business Management or relevant qualification in business or finance – level 4 or above;
•  Excellent levels of numeracy and literacy skills;
•  The ability to manage teams effectively;
•  Excellent Microsoft Office skills and good working knowledge of IT systems and procedures.

Visits to the school are encouraged and warmly welcomed, visits are taking place on: 25th November 2022 11.00am, 25th November 2022 3.00pm, 2nd December 2022 3.00pm
