The focus of the Kinship Support Service is to improve support to Kinship carers and the young people living with them. The team support kinship children and their families within Nottinghamshire.

You will support social workers to deliver a range of therapeutic family interventions that promote attachment, strengthen placement stability and avoid placement breakdowns. Interventions may include direct work with families including life story work and emotional support to carers, advocating for families and being part of the team of support around a family, signposting requests for services that will be more appropriately met by other agencies (e.g. health, education) and administrating applications for the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund (ASGSF).
