Teaching Assistant

Required from 2nd November 2015, a talented and appropriately qualified Teaching Assistant to work on a temporary basis within our school for four days per week.
We are looking for a qualified, well-motivated person who can work effectively within our school to work under the direct instruction of teaching/senior staff, to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom/nursery or 1:1 support for individual pupils. The successful candidate will be expected to work with pupils between the ages of 3-7 years. Applicants will have good literacy and numeracy skills, effective behaviour management strategies and a commitment to supporting all of our children be happy and successful within a fully inclusive learning environment. As well as being cooperative team members, the successful candidate must be able to work under their own initiative and knowledge and experience of working with Makaton/sign and symbols would be desirable.
