Head Teacher

Required from January or Easter 2021

Richard Bonington Primary and Nursery School is seeking to appoint a Head Teacher who is enthusiastic, caring and committed to raising the standards of education. Richard Bonington Primary and Nursery School is in a position to offer its next Head Teacher a strong platform from which to realise the school’s potential. Collaborative working is at the centre of the school and Equals trust. The new Head Teacher will share these values and will have the vision and drive to build on this fantastic school and its existing achievements.

Our school occupies a large, well-resourced and attractive site and we are very lucky to have a new £1.5m foundation unit equipped with the latest technology. Individual school ambition is supported by the team at Equals Trust in developing its priorities for improvement. The school prides itself on celebrating the strengths of every child and believes that the child is at the centre of everything we do. All stakeholders are engaged in the life of the school and a dedicated staff and Governing Body are supported by enthusiastic parents.

You will have:

• A clear vision for the future of our school, further developing its ethos and the happy, safe and caring atmosphere that currently exists

• Leadership qualities that will motivate and challenge our school in the next stage of its development

• Good emotional intelligence to ensure good communication and relationships with all members of the school community

• The ability to lead a strong and experienced team with complementary skills

• Be able to inspire and work in partnership with pupils, staff, parents/carers, governors and other stakeholders

• The ability to engage and contribute to Equals Trust with the Leadership Group of Head Teachers.

Assessment and interviews will be held on 23rd and 24th November 2020, details are dependent on circumstances surrounding the Covid-19 situation and will be given nearer the time.
