Due to maternity reasons, we are recruiting for a full-time teacher, initially for Year1. There is a possibility that this role may become permanent. The role will commence as soon as possible and no later than 1st November 2020. 

Chetwynd Primary Academy was inspected under the New Framework in October 2019. We were delighted to be recognised as Outstanding in all areas (the first on the County). 

Our latest progress measures show that we are amongst the top 3 per cent of primary schools across the country.

The role will include:

              In addition, to the requirements detailed above, as a Main Scale Teacher you will be expected to carry out the professional duties of a school teacher as circumstances may reasonably require, as provided for under the relevant sections of the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document and the DfE Teachers’ Standards (attached). 

              You are required to carry out your duties in line with the stated ethos and principles of the school and in line with your responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom you are responsible or come into contact with. 

              The post requires you to:

              1. Teach pupils within the age range 5-11 in accordance with the professional duties of a teacher
              2. Take an equitable share of the whole school curriculum care and management responsibilities.
              3. Carry out your duties in line with the key tasks and management procedures of the school. 

              In addition to the above, you may be asked to undertake any other duties which may reasonably be regarded as within the nature of the duties and responsibilities/grade of the post.
