Fair Access Practitioner
This is a key post within the Fair Access Team which seeks to ensure that all vulnerable pupil residents in Nottinghamshire have access to an appropriate education. Good ICT skills are essential. The post holder will be expected to take referrals from school admissions, schools, and other LA services and maintain accurate records about the actions that the Fair Access Team have taken to support children and their families. There will be a need to liaise with schools, families and other services and to provide accurate information to the case workers and the Team Manager.
You will need excellent negotiation skills and be able to manage challenging conversations in a positive and friendly manner. This is a small but very busy team and you will need to be able to be versatile and adapt your priorities as required. You will be well supported by colleagues and training will be given.
