The successful candidate who gains the full-time position will be required to work Monday – Thursday (8:30am – 5:00pm) and Friday (8:30am – 4:30pm)

The successful candidate who gains the part-time position (Job Share) will be required to work Wednesday (1:00pm – 5:00pm)/Thursday (8:30am – 5:00pm)/Friday (8:30am – 4:30pm)

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and team-oriented individuals to appoint into the post of Social Work Support Officers in the Court Team.  As part of a busy social work team, you will provide essential administration support to Social Workers in Children’s Social Care.

Candidates will need to be experienced administrators with strong administration skills which includes having a working knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Databases, PowerPoint and Outlook). 

The successful candidates will also need to be highly organised, have excellent time management skills, be able to work towards and meet deadlines and be able to build up excellent interpersonal relationships with colleagues and service users alike.

This role will be the first point of contact for families, carers and partner agencies, and so the ideal candidates will be able to manage difficult conversations tactfully, respectfully and effectively over the telephone and occasionally in person. Therefore, successful candidates will need excellent listening, recording and typing skills in order to record information accurately onto our internal database system (Mosaic).

This role is an administration/office-based post, however there may be a requirement for limited travel on occasion, and so a driving licence would be advantageous.
