We require a Catering Manager to join our established kitchen team delivering excellence within the secure unit for young people. We are looking for an individual to take the already high standards further with the development of the menus and food provision as a core element of the Healthy Lifestyle initiative which can present a major challenge within a secure environment.
The main duties will include managing and supervision of the existing catering team, menu planning, ordering of provisions and effective stock control, budget control and maintaining the high standards of this award-winning kitchen.
Ideally the suitable candidate will have experience in managing a medium scale catering operation, knowledge of both traditional catering and healthy eating, hold relevant catering qualifications and would possess a current food hygiene certificate. The candidate will also be able to provide input on dietary matters.
This is a job share role working alongside the current Catering Manager. This may include weekend work and holiday and sickness cover.
The successful applicant will be able to work effectively as part of a team as well as on their own.
