This is an exciting opportunity to join the Children & Families finance team based in the Finance Division at County Hall (the team is currently working from home).

You will be providing high quality financial advice and support to Head Teachers, School Budget Managers and Governors, to underpin effective decision making, meaningful performance management and to meet statutory requirements. This will largely be on a traded service basis and will require you to carry out on-site/remote visits to schools around the County. Consequently, the possession of a full driving licence is an essential requirement for this role.

You will be a minimum of AAT qualified with substantial post-qualification experience or preferably CCAB qualified, with experience of working in a financial environment with a range of financial systems and processes.  You must be able to manage your own and others performance to meet objectives and provide an excellent customer focused service.  The ability to work on your own initiative, pay attention to detail and understand and interpret information is essential, as are good communication, interpersonal and excel skills.

Interviews will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams.

If you would like an informal chat about the role, or wish to discuss anything in more detail please contact Sue Summerscales, Senior Finance Business Partner, sue.summerscales@nottscc.gov.uk or on 0115 9773468.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
