The West Grantham Academies Trust seeks to appoint an Attendance and Family Liaison Officer.

The purpose of the role will be to:

  • Provide strategic leadership of strategies to improve attendance and punctuality across the Trust;
  • To line manage and oversee daily duties of attendance officers across the Primary and Secondary sites;

  • Work alongside external agencies, providing the best provision for every child, to ensure improved attendance;

  • Promote and enable high levels of attendance and punctuality across the Trust;

  • Be strategic and proactive in reducing levels of persistent absence;

  • Support students in achieving their full academic potential.

We are looking for someone with experience of working with children in an education, health or social care environment. The successful candidate will also possesses excellent inter-personal and communication skills and have a good working knowledge of legislation relating to school attendance and child employment.

This post demands organisation, flexibility, enthusiasm, an ability to prioritise and an ability to deal with confidential material. It is essential that you can work equally well as part of a team or alone and are able to meet deadlines, using initiative and time management skills.
