The Governors are seeking to appoint a new head teacher for this innovative and successful infant school. The current head, Kay Collinson, is retiring at the end of summer having led the school with distinction for fourteen years and having achieved an ‘Outstanding’ judgement from Ofsted in 2010. Standards at the school are typically well above national averages. The school prides itself on developing children’s thinking skills and engages with a number of innovative projects across all areas of learning. The person we are looking for will:

•Have had a successful career in teaching in KS1

•Have a strong focus on developing the individual child and their thinking skills

•Be a deputy or assistant head, ready and eager for their first headship or an existing head looking for a new challenge

•Be keen to work with staff, pupils, parents and governors to maintain Ernehale Infants as a leading school

•Be confident in their ability to lead the school into the future
