This post has been identified as being suitable for Nottinghamshire County Council’s Apprenticeship Scheme.

In order to apply for this post you must be willing to undertake training against an appropriate Apprenticeship Standard that will be delivered by an approved training provider.

Apprenticeships are open to all ages and abilities and are designed to encourage people who may not have the necessary experience or qualifications to access employment.

An opportunity has arisen in the Strategic Commissioning Team for a person with previous administrative experience who is looking to further their career in a fast changing and dynamic environment. This role will involve working with many teams within Nottinghamshire County Council monitoring changes in payments by individuals and updating records / referring individuals for reviews to care packages if required. Another key function will be to oversee document checks for care providers and make contact to request further paperwork as necessary. Researching local organisations that can provide support and assistance to Service Users and updating the "Notts Help Yourself" website will also form part of this role. This is a new position in an interesting team and the work will be varied. The role is very much customer focused as liaising with Service Users and their families over the phone and by email will be a priority therefore excellent communication skills are essential.  The successful applicant should be able to work on their own as well as part of a wider team, use their own initiative, be able to manage a number of priorities and problem solve/provide solutions. Ownership of own workload and flexibility are important as is accuracy and attention to detail.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
