Casual Learning Support Assistant

Inspire Learning is keen to recruit several casual Learning Support Assistants to support classroom delivery in the 2017/18 academic year. The number of hours will vary dependent on demand.

Inspire Learning works with 16 to 19 year olds on full-time Study Programmes. Some of the learners will have mild to moderate learning difficulties or behavioural needs. We operate from 7 bases across Nottinghamshire including: Mansfield, Sutton in Ashfield, Retford, Ollerton, Newark, Eastwood and Stapleford. Learners work towards employability units, vocational units, Maths, English and work experience.

You will need to have experience of developing constructive working relationships with professionals and with 16 to 19 year olds in an educational setting. You will have a good understanding of the issues facing young people in today’s society and have a positive, enthusiastic attitude to learning.

A – C GCSE grades (or equivalent) and recognised qualifications in support work would be beneficial; however, you must have the ability to recognise and respond to the needs of individuals, and to encourage and motivate others.
