The Catering & Facilities Management Service is looking to employ a cleaner in Charge at the New Woods Children’s Centre which is situated in the heart of Skegby. This post is intended to further enhance the cleaning standards within the site with immediate effect. The successful candidate will be required to work between the hours of 6.30am – 8am & 4.30pm – 7pm Monday to Friday. We are looking for candidates who enjoy working in a community environment and please note you will be the soul cleaner on site and should be able to communicate at all levels. Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given. Duties will include: Vacuuming, Washroom Cleaning, Sweeping, Mopping, Dusting, Wash of furniture and Window Cleaning. (Occasional use of electrical clean machinery i.e. buffing machine and wet pick up’s) The successful candidates will play a vital role as part of a large team of cleaning staff. This post is predominately one where you will be expected to work using your own initiative and you will be expected to program your daily routine to meet the needs of the site. You will also be required to undertake a number of statuary checks on site such and checking and testing the fire alarm system and undertaking the weekly flushing of water outlets in accordance with Legionella guidelines. Protective clothing and other PPE will be provided as required.
