As SENDCo you will work as part of our team supporting teachers to ensure that children who may have additional needs receive the very best provision. It is an exciting and varied role and will include meeting with parents, working closely with outside agencies, supporting staff with appropriate classroom strategies, observations, writing bids and reports and ensuring school and additional funding is used to have the most impact.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience of the work of a SENDCo.
  • A good understanding of special needs and the statutory responsibilities that a school has.
  • Has a passion to ensure that all children reach their full potential.
  • Has excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and is a true team player.
  • Will play an active part in the wider life of our school.
  • Has a sense of humour!
