Prospect Hill Junior School is a supportive, welcoming and friendly school with a caring ethos. We are a two form entry school graded GOOD by Ofsted, April 2018 and are committed to putting the child at the heart of everything we do. In return our children are well-motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking. If you are someone who could make a contribution to our supportive staff team and help our children to continue to make good progress, we would love to hear from you. In return, you will be part of a supportive and positive team who ensure that children have high quality and consistent provision throughout our school.

The Governors are looking to appoint a dynamic, dedicated professional to take up the position of temporary part-time Personal Care Assistant (27.5 hours) to assist with the education and personal care of a named child. The Post is temporary, on an “until not needed basis”. This is because the Postholder will be appointed to support the needs of a named child, which may change. The appointment will be subject to review, on an on-going basis, but particularly at the end of the key stage for the named child. The employment may be reviewed leading to a reduction in hours or termination at any point should the child for whom the Postholder provides support to become able to cope without assistance or should they leave the school.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have knowledge and experience of procedures to provide personal care and support to children
  • Have the ability to record observations and keep records
  • Have high expectations of children’s learning and behaviour
  • Work well as part of a team and using their own initiative
  • Be committed to helping every child achieve their potential
  • Be well-organised, flexible and enthusiastic

Prospect Hill Junior School will offer:
