The Advanced Social Work Practitioner supervises a small number of staff and takes the lead on practice issues and oversees the day to day operation of the team. Supervisory or mentoring experience would be an advantage as you will work with the manager and other senior staff to support the team through periods of change. Your ability to communicate with colleagues and other stakeholders to support, develop and maintain good practice will also be essential. You will be an experienced Social Worker with knowledge of the Safeguarding Managers role and Mental Capacity, and will be required to manage a small caseload of more complex work.

Successful candidates will be provided with a comprehensive induction programme, access to training, and other professional development opportunities to enable them to fulfil their role, raise their competency level and progress their career.

Community Mental Health Team (Newark & Bassetlaw)

  • Full time (37 hours per week)
  • Office Base:  CMHT, 65 Northgate, Newark or Bassetlaw Hospital

The post holder will report directly to the team manager; carry a case load that includes complex service users; practice as an AMHP; supervise and develop junior staff; act as safeguarding manager and take a lead role in partnership with the other ASWPs in the team.

 

Older Adults Community Team (Ashfield)

  • Permanent
  • Full time (37 hours per week)
  • Office Base:  Lawn View House, Sutton-in-Ashfield

An experienced occupational therapy or social work practitioner with Older Adults is required to provide supervision and take the lead in complex/high risk case work. You will be able to respond to safeguarding referrals and provide professional guidance to team members on a wide range of mental capacity and safeguarding issues.
