This post has been identified as being suitable for Nottinghamshire County Council’s Apprenticeship Scheme. In order to apply for this post you must be willing to undertake training against an appropriate Apprenticeship Standard that will be delivered by an approved training provider.

We are looking to recruit a Business Support Administrator Apprenticeship to be based in the procurement team at County Hall, West Bridgford. The main role of this post is to work within a team to provide clerical, administrative and financial support to operational services.

Procurement is the process of acquiring goods and services, from both third parties and in-house providers. The procurement team support departments to ensure they commission goods and services legally and compliantly whilst ensuring they meet the department’s requirements and provide value for money. 

You will be expected to work to defined business standards and processes to perform routine clerical tasks,  that will include taking and making telephone calls, checking and verifying information, word processing and photocopying, processing orders and any other relevant administration duties.

You should be able to work effectively as part of a team, possess good communication skills, be able to organise your own workload and have an understanding of good customer care. You should be committed to your own personal and professional development, and to achieving the Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship Training within the allocated time frame.

A condition of this employment is the willingness to work towards the Business Administration Level 2 apprenticeships. The duration of this Apprenticeship is 14 months. In order to undertake this Apprenticeship, you must be educated to Level 2 Functional Skills or be able to achieve this level by the end of the apprenticeship.
