Motor Mechanics Tutor

Permanent
Full Time
Outwood Academy Portland, Netherton Road, Worksop, S80 2SF
Unqualified Teacher Scale

Outwood Grange Academies Trust (OGAT) seeks applications from outstanding applicants with integrity, imagination and energy for this rewarding role to work with students at Outwood Academy Portland and other OGAT schools who may visit.

We are proud that Outwood Academy Portland is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and we are delighted to be based in the large friendly town of Worksop, near Sheffield and Nottingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, driven individual to join our Family of Schools. We are looking for a candidate who can provide excellent learning opportunities for small groups of students in a range of vocational subjects. An in-depth knowledge of motor mechanics is essential but the ability to teach other vocational subjects would be desirable. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘students first’.

We have created an educational environment where staff and students constantly strive to improve and where teachers, classroom assistants, mentors, tutors, inclusion support assistants and students operate as a seamless team.

The Academy became part of the Outwood Family of Schools in 2012 and as part of the Outwood Grange Academies Trust we are determined to fully support colleagues within our Outwood Family both professionally and personally.

As one of the highest performing Family of Schools in the North of England, OGAT is transforming the futures of countless young people and offers:

  • The opportunity to work and progress across the Family of Schools.
  • The chance to apply for leadership roles in the Deeps working across the whole Academy.
  • A further comprehensive programme of professional development is provided through the Outwood Institute of Education (formerly the teaching school).

We believe that all teaching and support staff posts within our Family of Schools are key posts in terms of supporting student success and achievement across a broad range of subjects and experiences. As such, we are keen to recruit a dedicated and ambitious individual who will add value to our Academy in both academic terms and through involvement in the fabric of learning and success beyond the classroom.

We also offer a generous employment package with a whole host of staff benefits, including a health cash plan, a cycle to work scheme, plus a partnership with car leasing company, Synergy, with offers exclusively for Outwood colleagues.

If you share our vision, join our family.
