The Head Teacher of this good primary school in Eastwood in Nottinghamshire is looking to recruit an Attendance Improvement, Safeguarding and Welfare Officer to join their team from January 2017.

The role is to support the welfare, attendance, safeguarding and child protection across school and to lead in the coordination of referrals, actions and reviews of services for children and families.

The successful candidate will ensure that there are policies, procedures, systems, structures, resources and personnel in place to promote the welfare and protection of children at Brookhill Leys Primary School.  Actively working with parents/carers and other agencies through joint planning, training and monitoring for the improved attendance/ safeguarding of children.

To work with staff across school to secure good outcomes for disadvantaged families and to assist teaching staff in narrowing the gap between pupil premium and non-pupil premium children.

To be the lead for monitoring and improvement of attendance and punctuality.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification.
