The Leaving Care service is expanding as our aspiration is to work with care leavers from the age of 16 and we are looking to recruit 6 Personal Advisors.

Applicants will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to form positive sustainable relationships with a diverse group of young people. You will have your own caseload of young people aged 16 to 21 and will be expected to support care leavers into adulthood providing a range of practical and financial support. This will involve advocacy, negotiation and working with other agencies and colleagues to ensure young people’s needs are met.

You will be committed to supporting young people to reach their full potential, and to develop an effective working relationship in order to motivate and support care leavers to engage in education, training and employment, and have the necessary emotional resilience and skills for independence. You need to be able to work independently (with ongoing support and supervision being provided); and be part of a very supportive team.

This is a countywide team with the potential to be based at Sherwood Energy Village, Ollerton, Sir John Robinson Way, Arnold or Meadow House, Mansfield.
