Care Assistant

Contract Hours: 27.5 hours

Burton Joyce Primary School is a successful village school. We provide a happy and stimulating environment in which pupils feel secure, trusted and valued. We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, patient and experienced Support Assistant to join our friendly and talented team. The role will require working with children who have additional needs on a one to one basis. There is a level of personal care needed and someone with a background as a care-worker or with relevant experience is therefore required.

We are seeking applicants who have the appropriate personal characteristics, experience, knowledge and skills in order that they can provide flexible and effective 1-1 support to young children with a range of individual needs.

Candidates should ideally:
•    Have previous experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs.

• Have good communication skills
• Have a high level of compassion
• Be flexible
• Have excellent attendance and punctuality record
• To bring your interests into the setting to enthuse children
