Local Area Co-ordinator - Mansfield
We are recruiting a Local Area Coordinator who is passionate about their local community and practically supporting people’s independence.
Local Area Coordination builds connections, walking alongside residents, developing inclusive, self-supporting communities.
Local Area Coordinators walk alongside:
- Mental health needs
- Older people and their families/carers
- Younger people transitioning to adulthood
Being a Local Area Coordinator means being an accessible point of community contact, building long-term relationships to guide people, encouraging opportunities for involvement in local networks. They also contribute to the evidence of how the approach supports transformative change, e.g. analysing data, preparing written reports and delivering presentations.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work confidently in challenging environments. Applicants will have a relevant qualification and experience in the voluntary sector, health, social care, community practice or a similar to evidence an understanding of asset-based community development.
