Policy and Research Manager
The County Council is seeking to appoint a motivated professional to lead the Council’s Policy and Research team. This is an excellent opportunity to work to support Senior Leaders and Elected Members. Activities will include designing and delivery major research, providing advice to senior leaders, stakeholders and decision makers and influencing policy and strategy development.
This includes leading on the development and monitoring of the Nottinghamshire Plan. You will play a lead role in maintaining knowledge of the local context, engaging with communities and partners, and keeping abreast of the national policy developments.
We are looking for a proactive individual with a good understanding of political structures, up to date with social political and economic developments and experience of policy and strategy development. You will be able to work to a high standard both in preparing and writing strategies and in briefing and presenting to Members and Senior Officers. You will be ambitious and able to think creatively and come up with new ideas to provide solutions to complex problems and to work across different disciplines. You will be highly organised and have excellent interpersonal skills and have experience of working and building relations with a wide range of people.
