The Safeguarding Children Information Management Teamwork with partner agencies to answer queries and provide information about children at potential risk of harm. This is a newly created post which will work with the SCIMT Operational Manager and business support team. You will work as part of the team and will review current business processes and procedures to ensure we deliver an efficient data and information management service. 

 The role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator looking for a challenge.  

You will be confident, motivated and enthusiastic, you should have the ability to make decisions and adapt to change whilst leading on the planning, review and delivery of the services provided by the business support team. 

You will have:

  • Proven administrative experience with advanced IT skills, highly competent in Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively build and maintain relationships with individuals and teams at all levels
  • Analytical skills, able to question, record and extract data, present findings with clarity and suggest solutions where required
  • Experience of reviewing systems, producing user guides and delivering training
  • A keen understanding of GDPR
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, but also work on own initiative when required, troubleshoot, and find solutions to problems
  • The ability to organise and prioritise work effectively, be flexible and meet deadlines
  • Some experience of managing large volumes of communications through multiple channels

This post provides cover to the child death review administrator. You must be a resilient individual, able to handle potentially distressing information with due confidentiality, plan backwards from non-negotiable deadlines and minute meetings when required.  

In return, you will have an active and valued voice in discussions about process improvement and learn about partnership procedures across organisational boundaries.

Your base is negotiable between Meadow House, Mansfield or County Hall, West Bridgford. Nottinghamshire County Council has hybrid working practices and it is anticipated that you will work mainly from home with office working around once per week. There will be some travel as and when required to various locations across the county.  Own transport is therefore required for which business mileage rate is paid.
