The Tackling Emerging Threats to Children (TETC) team carries out a range of statutory and non-statutory roles for the Local Authority in keeping children safe from a range of contextual safeguarding risks. The TETC team carries out this responsibility in large part by building and supporting the capacity, resilience and the development of best practice in education settings and across a range of other services. This challenging and rewarding work requires collaborative consultation with schools, professional networks and young people. The TETC team forms part of ‘Psychology Services’, including the Virtual School, the Educational Psychology Service, and the Coping with Risky Behaviours service.

The current post-holder of Anti-bullying & On-line Safety Coordinator recently requested a temporary reduction in her working hours. To enable this, a temporary appointment was made for a job-share arrangement to operate. The TETC leadership team have seen how this job-share arrangement can be effective, and agreement has been reached for a permanent job-share arrangement to be in place for the post of Anti-bullying & On-line Safety Coordinator.
