We are an outstanding school and seek an enthusiastic and talented teacher to join our fantastic early years team following the promotion of the current class teacher; someone who can challenge and support our pupils to help them achieve their personal best in FS2.

The successful candidate will be a member of the schools’ SLT and areas of responsibility can be negotiated following their appointment. We are situated in a lovely village, surrounded by horses, the church and village pub! Great indoor and outdoor space.

Our PAN has risen to 25. We have expanded considerably in the past 8 years from below 100 and will be at our maximum of 175 pupils on roll in the next year with 25 in each year group. Last year, we grew to 6 classes and this year we are organised into 7 separate year groups.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can demonstrate excellent early years practice
  • Has a clear understanding of how young children learn and the transition between Foundation and Y1
  • Can be creative with the EYFS and new National Curriculum and be willing to plan creatively in teams
  • Understand the importance of an outstanding learning environment and be able to provide this both indoors and outdoors
  • Have experience of teaching FS and understand the importance of creating a love of learning
  • Understand the importance of assessment for learning, tracking and observation in order to ensure our children achieve their potential
  • Have high expectation
  • Have a sense of humour, perspective and a positive outlook
  • Enjoy the job and be an effective team member
  • Support our family values and Take Care ethos across school life
