We are thrilled to announce new exciting and unusual opportunities to join our expanding Domestic Abuse Service for Men, and a brand new Safer Accommodation outreach team. Both services operate across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County. 

Equation will be working to secure future funding for these roles by evidencing the need and impact during the funding period.  

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about preventing domestic abuse and supporting survivors to live free from abuse.  

Purpose of the job:
•    Supporting the LGBTQ+ survivors experiencing domestic violence and abuse and stalking; to access safer accommodation; to make long term positive and sustainable changes in their lives and to recover from the harm of domestic violence and abuse.
•    Develop and establish positive partnerships with Homelessness organisations, Housing Services, Housing Aid and Juno Women’s Aid’s Safer Accomodation Team to ensure holistic and joined up service delivery
•    To engage and consult within local communities to ensure services provision is accessible, develops and therefore builds networks to improve referral pathways and promote shared learning.
•    To provide a high-quality support service to the LGBTQ+ survivors experiencing domestic violence and abuse.

Applicants will need:  
- An understanding of domestic abuse and its effect on partners and children. 
- Experience of supporting people to access help and support.   
- Strong skills in partnership working and teamwork.
