Customer Service Officer
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work at the Newark Bus Station as a Customer Service Officer. The post holder will be working as part of a Facilities Team who will be looking after the Bus Station Site and supporting members of the public (bus station users) and bus operators on a daily basis.
Duties will include the security of the building ( alarms and key holding ) , cleaning and caretaking related work and communicating with members of the public/ bus operators in order to share information and assist bus station users in their travel requirements.
The bus station is open between 7.00m and 7.00pm Monday to Saturday. The successful post holder will be required to work across these hours on a rotating shift system to ensure required staffing levels are achieved. The shift pattern is as follows; 06:45am to 1:15pm & the alternative shift is 12:45pm to 7:15pm.
Successful applicants will have demonstrated high levels of customer care as daily communication with members of the public and bus operators is a vital part of this post. In addition, experience of working within the area of Site Management and Security is also important. Previous experience of working at Bus Depots or within the area of transportation is also desirable.
