£25,714 - £41,604 (Pro-Rata)

Kimberley School is an exciting place to work. Our aim is for every child to achieve or surpass their academic and social potential and we achieve this through providing an outstanding quality of education, underpinned by a strong programme of care, guidance, support and enrichment.

We are looking for someone who can teach Sociology at A-Level in our highly successful Sixth Form. The ability to teach all or some of the Psychology A-Level course would be desirable. This is a unique opportunity to join our highly successful Sixth Form.  The successful candidate will be based in our brand new Sixth Form Centre. This post is suitable for experienced candidates who are looking to work with an outstanding team; or for Newly Qualified Teachers. As a lead partner in the East Midlands Teacher Training Partnership, and an early adopter of the Early Career Framework, we are well-placed to support teachers at the start of their career.

The successful candidate will join an outstanding team who consistently deliver excellent outcomes for all students and are significantly above national averages. This post has arisen because of the significant increase in recruitment that we have seen into these subjects in recent years.

The advertised post is part-time and we require someone on a 0.5 FTE contract for Sociology and Psychology. However, we will consider applications from candidates who are looking for anything above 0.5 FTE if they are willing to teach outside of these specialist areas.  We will also consider applicants from candidates looking for a full time post if, again, they are willing to teach outside of these subject areas.

When you complete the application form please set out in your answer to question 6:

How your experience and qualifications have prepared you for this position;

The steps you will take to ensure that the students you teach enjoy learning and make good progress; and whether you are applying for a part-time or full time position.
If you have any questions or would like an informal discussion about the post then please contact Wendy Bellamy, Leadership Support Team Leader on 0115 9387000 or by email -  hr@kimberleyschool.co.uk
