Nottinghamshire County Council Care & Support Centres

Would you like the opportunity to make a difference to people’s lives?

We are currently recruiting to this exciting new arm of our service. We are seeking staff to provide personal care and support to individuals in our Care & Support Centres and very occasionally at HMP Lowdham Grange and HMP Ranby.

We require flexible staff who work well alone and as part of a team, to support and assist individuals while they increase their confidence and independence in all aspects of personal care and daily living tasks. The post mainly involves working with older people but is potentially across all client groups

The post involves shift work, which is:

7am – 2.30pm

2.30pm-10pm

This also includes regular weekend and Bank Holiday working, for which an enhancement is paid

The post will initially be based at Leivers Court in Arnold, but may change to one of our other Care & Support Centres before the end of the contract. Although it is desirable that the applicant should have a full driving licence and access to a car, for which mileage paid, we would consider providing transport from the base to and from the prison for the right applicant. Various, across Nottinghamshire County Council’s Care & SupportCentres, HMP Lowdham Grange and HMP Ranby

We Offer You:

Excellent pay

Enhancements for work at weekends, Bank Holidays and evening work after 8pm

Excellent conditions of employment including holiday and travel pay

Protective clothing provided

Excellent pension scheme

A structured induction training programme leading to work based qualifications

A supporting and enabling management structure.

Career development opportunities

A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
