This is a key post which mainly supports the Integrated Children’s Disability Assessment Service (ICDS). However, the flexibility and willingness to support across the whole Disability Support Service will also be a requirement.  The post provides administrative support to the ICDS Assessment Team mainly supporting the weekly Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment Panel.  Duties will include minuting multi-agency panel meetings

A high level of ICT skills, accuracy, attention to detail and the ability work independently to track and monitor processes. You will need to be a self-motivated person with excellent organisational abilities to prioritise and schedule workload to keep within strict timescales.

The work will require you to have a broad range of skills. These will include:

  • IT (Microsoft Office) particularly Word and Excel to a high level
  • a high level of numeracy and literacy skills
  • the ability to minute complex meetings
  • attention to detail and accuracy
  • significant experience of operating database systems, preferably including Framework
  • good keyboard skills
  • strong organisational abilities to prioritise, plan and co-ordinate work quickly and effectively
  • ability to use initiative, take responsibility for tasks and work unsupervised
  • effective telephone skills, excellent customer service and the ability to deal with people sensitively and professionally even when they may be distressed or angry
  • full appreciation of the need for confidentiality
