We are looking to recruit a Family Support Worker in the Children’s Centre Service within the Mansfield District.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of our multi-disciplinary teams delivering early help and preventative services to families with children under 5 years. The Children’s Centres Services are committed to delivering a targeted and effective service to families in need. We are based in the heart of communities and work out of our 46 Children’s Centre buildings in Nottinghamshire.

You will work under the supervision of the Child and Family Support Lead within West Mansfield Cluster. You will be involved in delivering parenting programmes, and one to one work with families to meet their identified needs. You will be responsible for carrying out and contributing towards family assessments to better understand their needs, and to ensure that effective support and interventions are in place. This could be in one of our Children's Centre buildings, in the community or family home.

You will be expected to maintain confidentiality and have due regard to the policies and procedures, including policies relating to Equality, Inclusion and Diversity, Data Protection, Information Sharing, Safeguarding and Health and Safety including following procedures for lone working.

It is essential the post holder has a full driving licence (a taxi service will be provided where disability precludes this).

For further information please contact: Debbie O'Brien at Debbie.O'Brien@nottscc.gov.uk

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
