A new year and an EXCITING opportunity to join a high performing and supportive team. On the 18th April 2016 Abbey Primary School will open its brand new school building. Abbey is a popular school graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted in March 2015 with a rising roll and a brand new nursery. As a consequence of this we are looking to expand our teaching team.

The Governors of this happy, successful and rapidly expanding school are seeking to appoint a talented, creative and experienced teaching assistant who is committed to ensuring that all children reach their potential. The successful applicant must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum and assessment.

We are looking for someone who will bring energy, a hardworking attitude and new ideas to our school

The successful candidate will need to:

•Have very good literacy and numeracy skills

•A thorough understanding of the EYFS curriculum

•Have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour

•Provide a stimulating, safe and happy learning environment

•Have excellent interpersonal skills, a growth mind-set, and a good sense of humour and enjoy being part of a friendly and supportive team

•Be enthusiastic, caring and hard working

•Be willing to make a wider contribution to the life of the school
