The governors of this special school are looking to recruit a successful and enthusiastic teacher with drive and energy, to join our team from January 2019. This is due to the school capacity being increased by the Local Authority. 

Ash Lea School is a friendly, innovative and forward thinking school of 78 pupils (aged 3-18), whose needs include; autism and associated challenging behavior and complex physical and medical needs.

This post would ideally suit someone with experience of working with pupils with SEND or developmentally early learners (EYFS, KS1). We would, however, still welcome applications from NQTs. 

The teacher appointed could be expected to work in any key stage, although we aim to use our teachers’ strengths and interests to provide the best learning for our pupils (please state your strengths and interests when applying). In the first instance the class would be, top of key stage 2 / key stage 3.
