We are looking for an Office Administrator who will join a dedicated and staff team. You will be expected to use the Authority’s standard computer hardware and software packages where appropriate. 

Your general duties will include: 

  • Organisation – Undertake reception duties, phone calls, dealing with parents, visitors etc. Assist the main office with first aid/welfare of pupils, liaising with parents/staff etc. Supporting the running of after school clubs, school events, trips and residential visits. 
  • Administration - recording and managing pupil attendance, assisting with pupil admissions and accurately maintaining the pupil related information system using SIMS. Collect information and collate it for the whole school. To prepare and process orders, keep the school inventory record up to date and report to governors. To undertake cash collection duties including the recording of all school dinner monies received and balanced and resolving routine anomalies. 
  • Clerical - dealing with photocopying, typing etc. Provide reprographic and filing support for staff. Produce reports, letters, newslettersand newsletters under the direction of the Hhead Teacher. Updating the school website. 
  • Resources – Operate relevant equipment/ICT packages/information systems (eg. MS Office, Internet, SIMS, Outlook 365 

As well as good ICT and communication skills, this job requires good numeracy and literacy skills – equivalent to GCSE Grade C.
