Learning Resource Centre Manager

37 hours per week, Term time only.

•    Are you ambitious and passionate and looking for a great opportunity to work in a vibrant and high achieving school? 
•    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Learning Resource Manager to join Christ the King Catholic Voluntary Academy. 
•    You committed to promoting reading for pleasure, supporting and promoting literacy initiatives and interventions ensuring that our LRC is accessible and attractive to our students. 
•    You will be supporting pupils with study and life skills, by liaising with all departments, as well as with individual members of the teaching staff by contributing to the curriculum and students’ personal development.
•    You are meticulous in your librarianship skills, caring for our print and digital resources. At the same time, you will be a keen reader, able to research and recommend appropriate books to our motivated and diverse students.    
•    You have excellent IT skills, a desire and ability to work carefully and accurately, in a friendly approachable manner.  

It would be advantageous if you were willing to plan and deliver additional targeted interventions, working closely with the SEND team to promote literacy across the school and support readers in developing their skills.
