An opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Administrator, supporting the new Managing Allegations Service addressing the complex and sensitive areas of contemporaneous and historical/non-recent allegations against people working or volunteering with children.

The Local Authority has a responsibility to investigate allegations against professionals and volunteers who work with children. You will support the Team Manager and Allegations Officers with tracking the progress of cases, maintaining various databases and information systems and producing reports to demonstrate the performance of the service, arranging multi-agency meetings and being a point of contact for various agencies, supporting the administration behind recruitment and personnel processes, assisting the Service Manager with budget reconciliation and forecasting, coordinating the workstreams of other administrators within the service, and carrying out other duties as required.

As such, the post requires someone with comprehensive administrative abilities, a good working knowledge of Excel, a high-level of personal drive and responsibility, excellent workload management skills and a willingness to be stretched. You need to be personable with good communication skills able to work well with different agencies and job roles.

In return, you will be working for a statutory function, learning about Local Government processes, using a broad base of skills and helping to improve practise and ensure the safeguarding of children in Nottinghamshire.
