This is a great opportunity to lead a vibrant village primary school as it continues its journey as part of a multi-academy trust of primary only schools. As our current Headteacher moves on to the next stage in her career, we are looking to appoint a passionate and compassionate person who can lead our caring, highly motivated, professional and experienced staff; a leader who can harness our children’s love for learning and continue to build upon the collaborative relationships between staff, families and governors.

Muskham has strong academic performance at Key Stage 2: for example, in 2024, 95% of pupils achieved the expected standard in SPAG, 85% in Reading, 100% in Writing and 90% in Mathematics. The average scaled scores in core subjects (Reading, Mathematics) are well above the expectation (e.g. 107–108).

‘The school is ambitious for pupils and provides an engaging curriculum that enables pupils to achieve well and thrive. Pupils behave impeccably. Playtimes are joyful and harmonious. The school aims for high standards in all aspects of its work. Leaders are sharply focussed on ensuring that pupils thrive both personally and academically. The astute governing body is equally determined, providing effective challenge and support.’
