We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and diligent Domestic assistant to work with our team at Bassetlaw Day Opportunities. You will be required to work across a district at different buildings.
This role is crucial in ensuring that we are providing exceptional day opportunities. Our mission is to maintain a clean a safe environment for the people that attend and the staff through high standards of cleaning and maintenance.
You will be responsible for providing cleaning services within the day service, ensuring that all areas are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
The domestic assistant is to help to support to clean the establishment and maintain high standards at all times. You will maintain floor surfaces in accordance with the Authority’s cleaning and janitorial specification and attend to and clean up after spillages.
You will deep clean areas on a rotational basis and take reasonable care for the Health and Safety of themselves and others. You will remove waste from the rooms to the external waste facility and empty litter bins and remove waste to designated areas. Clean working surfaces and other furniture as directed.
You will set out furniture as required and support in setting up sessions for the people that attend and also support to tidy up afterwards. You will assist the caretaker with maintaining logbooks, stock cards, inventories, and ensuring adequate cleaning supplies. You will clean toilets and washrooms to the required standards.
You will carry out all duties and responsibilities with a ‘can do’ attitude.
