We are seeking an exceptional Head of Centre to provide strategic leadership and operational management at Hagg Farm Outdoor Education Centre. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and inspiring outdoor learning experiences for young people and families. This role is not just about management; it’s about guiding a passionate team, driving innovation, and creating unforgettable memories for our visitors.

As the Head of Centre, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development and sustainability of the Centre.
  • Overseeing staff, programmes, facilities, and resources.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborating with Notts Outdoors to promote outdoor activities.
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively.
  • Driving performance and fostering a positive team culture.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A relevant qualification in outdoor education, management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a leadership role within an educational or outdoor setting.
  • Proven experience in managing budgets and resources effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in outdoor environments.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to engage with staff, families, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Capability to manage challenging situations with a calm and positive approach.
