Required from September 2026, the children, staff and Governors of Costock C of E Primary School are seeking to appoint a Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our school. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Midday team, supporting children during their lunchtime and play.

As a Midday Supervisory Assistant, you’ll be a friendly, reassuring presence for our pupils. 

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground, and other areas during the lunch break.
  • Encourage good table manners and positive social interaction.
  • Oversee safe, inclusive play activities that engage all children.
  • Manage behaviour in line with school policies, using positive reinforcement.
  • Provide basic first aid and respond calmly to minor incidents.
  • Ensure all areas are left clean, tidy, and safe after lunch.

  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Good communication skills to engage with pupils and staff effectively.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
